PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make stable rolling possible by preventing downward camber when rolling a steel sheet. SOLUTION: In a method for rolling a material to be rolled which is conveyed with a conveying table with upper and lower rolling rolls, a shape ratio when beforehand rolling the material to be rolled with the rolling rolls and the region of the amount of a pickup where the amount of rollable upward camber is stably generated are determined, the amount of the pickup is determined based on the shape ratio in the rolling of the material to be rolled from the relationship between these determined shape ratio and amount of the pickup and the position of the lower work roll is controlled so as to become the determined amount of the pickup.
