PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bonding a rubber to a metal, rubber lining method, to obtain a rubber-metal composite product, to provide a manufacturing method of a composite rubber roll comprising a rubber and a metal, a manufacturing method of a rubber-metal composite vibration-insulating rubber and a method for bonding a rubber to concrete, all of which methods can considerably reduce labor and cost and further improve qualities. SOLUTION: The method for bonding a rubber to a metal comprises applying a primer for a metal surface which comprises a thermosetting resin such as an epoxy resin, a phenolic resin, or the like, and a derivative thereof and, incorporated therewith, 50-1,000 pts.wt. of an inorganic or organic filler, 0-2,000 pts.wt. of a ketone solvent or a mixed solvent comprising a ketone solvent combined with another solvent and 1-100 pts.wt. of a curing agent corresponding to the thermosetting resin, and applying thereon a chlorinated rubber-based primer. Also, by utilizing this method, a rubber lining method, a rubber-metal composite product, a manufacturing method of a composite rubber roll comprising a rubber and a metal, a manufacturing method of a rubber-metal composite vibration-insulating rubber and a method for bonding a rubber to concrete are provided.
