PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for efficiently producing an organosiloxane bound vinyl polymer scarcely contaminated with impurities derived from a raw material of an organosiloxane and excellent in appearance and surface characteristics. SOLUTION: The process for producing an organosiloxane bound vinyl polymer having at least the units represented by general formula (1) (wherein R1 is H or methyl; R2 is a divalent organic group; R3's are the same or different and are each a 1-10C alkyl or aryl; R5 is alkylene; m is an integer of 1 to 20; and n is an integer of 1 to 350) comprises subjecting (A) an organosiloxane bound vinyl polymer having a hydrogen atom bound to a silicon atom to hydrosilylation with (B) an organosiloxane having one alkenyl terminal.
