PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a floor material having a cork layer as an upper layer and the composite floor material obtained thereby and to form a protective film on the surface of the cork layer at the time of molding processing to enhance the chemical resistance and gloss of the cork layer at the same time. SOLUTION: When the cork layer 1a and a core sheet 1b are respectively used as upper and lower layers to be laminated integrally, the cork layer 1a mixed with a resin binder and sheetlike rubber cloth are superposed one upon another to be vulcanized and molded to form a coating film 1c on the surface of the cork layer 1a. By this constitution, gloss and water repellency are applied to the surface of the cork layer and the chemical resistance of the cork layer is also enhanced.
