PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting a termite, capable of precisely detecting emergence of insect damage caused by the termite, and capable of being readily installed. SOLUTION: This device for detecting the termite comprises a sensor 2 having a stylus 7 urged to a state of being pressed to a woody part 1, and arranged at an attaching member 6, an attaching metal fitting 3 for attaching the sensor 2 to the woody part 1, and an alarm device 5 capable of giving the alarm by the action of a switch 9 installed in the sensor 2 when the stylus 7 enters the part receiving the insect damage by the pressing force, and is constituted so that a slit 17 for allowing the attaching member 6 to be detachably attached is formed in the attaching metal fitting 3.
