PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod designed to enable a front grip to be shifted to a desired point according to the liking of a relevant fisherman. SOLUTION: This fishing rod has a rod body 11 and a front grip 15; wherein the rod body 11 is of cylindrical shape with a reel-mountable reel seat on the outer circumferential surface on the rod foot side, and the front grip 15 is of pipe shape, disposed on the outer circumferential surface of the rod body 11 adjoining on the ear tip side of the reel seat, shiftable axially, and fixable onto any point along the axis of the rod body 11.
