PRINTER AND PRINTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a printing method capable of shortening a time period for printing an image by a simple structure. SOLUTION: In the printer and the printing method, the printing of an image is performed on a web type printing medium at one end in the longitudinal direction such that the printing is performed just on the edge thereof. The one edge side and the other edge side of the printing medium at portions in the vicinity of the respective boundary sections of the printed image are sequentially cut.
