PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split type die of which the working accuracy is high and capable of shortening the working time. SOLUTION: An upper split die 11 after the casting is fixed so that a product- shaped surface 10a forms an upper surface, and the product-shaped surface 10a is cut by using a cutting tool 40 to correctly finish the surface thereof. Next, a lower split die 12 is fixed on the upper split die 11 by using bolts 15, and the product-shaped surface 10a of the upper split die 11 is finished by using the cutting tool 40.
