PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for fishing in which bail arm of a light and strong pipe made of a metal is firmly inserted into a bail arm supporting member and fixed thereto so as to facilitate the production. SOLUTION: A reinforcing core material (51) is inserted into at least either one fixed end of semicircular arc bail arm (11), composed of a pipe made of a metal, in which both ends are fixed to bail arm supporting members (9 and 50), and the fixed end of the bail arm is inserted into engaged recessed parts (54 and 55) formed in the above bail arm supporting member.
