PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable aqueous solution pharmaceutical preparation comprising tranilast or its pharmacologically acceptable salt as an active ingredient by a simpler prescription without containing a surfactant, etc., having the possibility of exhibiting irritation. SOLUTION: This transparent stable aqueous solution pharmaceutical preparation of the tranilast capable of preventing a principal ingredient from separating as compared with the case where only polyvinylpyrrolidone is solely added can be obtained by adding at least one kind of methyl cellulose or hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose into an aqueous solution comprising the tranilast or its pharmacologically acceptable salt, a basic substance and polyvinylpyrrolidone without using a surfactant.
