PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fundus camera capable of taking the best fundus picture even during mydriasis or not. SOLUTION: The fundus Er of the eye to be examined is irradiated with the light from a light source La for observation through an illumination system and the fundus image is photographed by an optical system. An aperture-stop 31 is arranged in a position approximately conjugate with the crystalline lens front of the eye to be examined in the observation optical system. When a visible light cut filter F is inserted into the system and the wavelength of the light source La is changed over to IR light from the visible light, an aperture- stop 30 of a diameter smaller than the diameter of the aperture-stop 31 is inserted into the position approximately conjugate with the inside of the crystalline of the eye to be examined. The diameter or position of the aperture-stop is changed over according to the changeover of the wavelength of the light source for observation and therefore the best fundus image may be photographed even in photography during the mydriasis and even in photography during the non-mydriasis. |
