AIR BAG SYSTEM, ITS COVER BODY AND EMBLEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover body with an emblem having an improved appearance at a peripheral edge portion. SOLUTION: The emblem 4 has a side face formed by raising the whole periphery of the peripheral edge portion toward the back into the shape of a standing wall and legs 5 projecting from the end of the side face toward the back. A coating having a color similar to that of the cover body 1 is applied both to the base ends of the legs 5 and to the whole side face of the emblem 4. The emblem 4 is fitted into a recessed portion 2 while inserting the legs 5 of the emblem 4 into holes 3, and the legs 5 are bent at their ends along the inner face of the cover body 1.
