PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling preventing device for a housing type cargo receiving table elevator, having simple and a good operability and workability without causing malfunction for positively preventing the falling of a cargo receiving table. SOLUTION: This hosing type cargo receiving table elevator 2 has the cargo receiving table 5 elevatably mounted on a platform 1, via a link mechanism 4 having two upper and lower links 42 and 41. The cargo receiving table 5 can be slid to a housing position under the platform 1 and housed in a longitudinally folded state. A falling preventing device 7 is provided for preventing the falling of the cargo receiving table 5 in folded state from its position by stopping the falling of the link mechanism 4 at a housing height position. The falling preventing device 7 comprises an operation lever 71 operated on abutting on the cargo receiving table 5, when the folded cargo receiving table 5 falls, and a stopper 74 linking with the operation of the operation lever 71 for preventing the falling of the link mechanism 4 at the housing height position.
