摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zeolite having excellent adsorption performance, a method for manufacturing the zeolite and a gas adsorbent containing the zeolite. SOLUTION: The low-silica faujasite has such a structure that at least a part of cations associating with the negative electric field generated by AlO2 tetrahedron in zeolite and by the anions irreversibly incorporated into the zeolite is lithium. The low-silica faujasite contains at least >=0.05 irreversible anions per unit sodalite incorporated into the zeolite. The method for manufacturing the low-silica faujasite includes the following processes (a) to (d). They are (a) a process to allow low-silica faujasite to contact with a solution containing a metal salt, (b) a process to vaporize the solvent from the mixture of the low-silica faujasite and the metal salt, (c) a process to increase the temperature of the mixture without being exposed to the high temperature vapor of the solvent, and (d) a process to heat-treat the mixture at a sufficient temperature to irreversibly incorporate a part or whole of the metal salt into the low-silica faujasite.</p>
