HEAT EXCHANGER FOR SLAG PARTICLES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a dust collecting treatment unnecessary by performing a heat exchanging treatment of slag particles without bringing a heat exchanging medium into direct contact with the slag particles. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger is provided with a square shell 10 having a flowing-inlet 10a to which the high temperature slag particles S flow in, an outlet 10b discharging the flowing-down slag particles S fed from the flowing- inlet 10a, a contacting body disposed in the angular shell 10 contactable with the slag particles S and a heat collector having a heat conductive pipe inserted in the inner part of the contacting body and in which the heat exchanging medium flows. Heat exchange can be achieved without bringing the heat exchanging medium into direct contact with the slag particles S so that any device for cleaning the heat exchanging medium is unnecessary.
