PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the recording speed while enhancing the recording accuracy through an inexpensive arrangement. SOLUTION: A recording sheet 3 is wound around a recording drum 1 and recording is performed while dividing recording data, having predetermined longitudinal and lateral lengths being recorded on the recording sheet 3 by means of a recording head 4, into line data in the oblique direction.
