PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact food cutting apparatus suited for evenly cutting bar-shaped food such as a rolled sushi in lower. SOLUTION: The cutting device comprises a cassette frame journaled to the fulcrum shaft of a horizontal frame in such a manner as to be vertically movable in the form of an arc; a blade cassette on which a plurality of cutting blades to be removably attached to the cassette frame are arranged side-by-side with a predetermined interval to the subject of cutting; and a table provided with a receiving base provided with a slit for passing each cutting blade therethrough and on which the subject of cutting is placed. The device has a means for causing the table to slide longitudinally as the cassette frame moves vertically.
