PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirring device for stirring coating material or the like housed in a container which is capable of stirring the coating material or the like housed in the container, such as a small-sized bottle or can, used for handicraft of hobbies like models in particular within the container. SOLUTION: The stirring device 1 comprises a main body case 2, a motor 3 disposed therein, dry cells 4 and 4 for rotation of the motor 3 and a mixing bit 6 projectingly disposed outside from one end of the main body case 2 and is constituted to turn a switch 5 disposed in the main body case 2 on and off to start and stop the motor, thereby effecting the stirring of the liquid by rotation of the mixing bit 6. The mixing bit 6 has a spherical part 7 at its top end and is formed with spiral striped grooves 8 at its axial circumference such that the exact stirring may be effected while the air content of the liquid by the stirring is suppressed.
