PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial/insecticidal agent characterized by comprising a 2-fluoropropionic acid anilide derivative as an active iggredient. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial/insecticidal agent comprises a 2- fluoropropionic acid anilide derivative of formula (1) (X is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; R is a halogen atom, a 1-8C alkyl group, a 1-4C haloalkyl group, a nitro group, a phenoxy group, a phenyl group or the like; n is an integer of 1-5) as an active ingredient.
