PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card type game machine wherein a game player can freely set a conversion amount to a game right per round of a game by operating a game right conversion command operation means. SOLUTION: The card type game machine has a game right conversion command operation means which can convert the value data of a card, read by a card reader, into a game right, a game right renting amount setting operation means which can set the amount of conversion per round by operating the command operation means to convert the value data of the card into a game right, and a game right renting amount setting control means which is provided with a set value retaining timer which retains, for a certain time period, a set value of the conversion amount per round to convert the value data of the card set by operating the game right renting amount setting operation means into a game right. The game right renting amount setting control means includes a set condition sensing means to sense whether the card is inserted into the card reader, as a specific set condition, and a set operation can be performed by the game right renting amount setting operation means based on the sensing of the specific set condition by means of the set condition sensing means.
