PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a pneumatic radial tire without impairing the riding comfort while maintaining the high steering stability. SOLUTION: A belt layer 7 includes at least a mono-filament belt ply 11 with arranged metal mono-filament cords 10 of circular section of the diameter D of 0.35-0.70 mm, and the tensile strength, the bending rigidity and the cord driving count of the mono-filament cords 10 are set to be 2,800-3,700 N/mm2, 35-260 g.cm, and 30 to 50, respectively. |
