PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability and usability of are chargeable electric vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: This electric vacuum cleaner is provided with a cleaner main body 1 provided with a dust collecting chamber 3, a motor-driven blower 4 and a storage battery 15 and a charging base 24 for charging the storage battery 15 in the state of mounting the cleaner main body 1. In the using state of the cleaner main body 1, the centroid 17 of the storage battery 15 attached to the cleaner main body 1 is arranged at the rear part of the centroid 13 of the cleaner main body 1 except the storage battery 15.
