PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing olefin sulfides from olefin(s) in a single step by carrying out a sulfurization using sulfur and hydrogen sulfide. SOLUTION: This method manufactures olefin sulfides from an olefin, sulfur and hydrogen sulfide in the presence of a solid catalyst based on a zeolite having middle to large pore size of 0.5 to 0.8 nm. The method uses a solid catalyst such as a X type, a Y type or a L type zeolite or a mordenite, especially the Y type zeolite. The molar ratio of the sulfur/olefin(s) in the method is 0.4:1 to 2.5:1, preferably 0.5:1 to 2:1 and the molar ratio of H2S/olefin(s) is 0.5:1 to 2.5:1, preferably 0.5:1 to 2:1.
