PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing by a simple method without using the conventional cell-forming material an excellent cellulosic porous product which forms fine closed cells in the surface layer and comparatively coarse cells in the inside. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a cellulose porous product comprises mixing a viscose with a gas which dose not adversely affect the stability of the viscose to form a fluid having cells and solidifying the fluid to regenerate cellulose. As the gas, air or nitrogen is preferred, and further as the stabilizer of cells to be formed, a surface active agent is preferably used.
