PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generating device capable of suppressing the condensation of water, reducing the starting-up time of the device, keeping catalytic properties and stabilizing the temperature of each structural part at the time of starting-up with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This hydrogen generating device is equipped with a reforming part having a reforming catalyst body for reforming a hydrocarbon component as a raw material and water, a raw material supply part for supplying the raw material to the reforming part, a water supply part for supplying water to the reforming part, a reforming heating part of the reforming part, a modifying part provided with a modifying catalyst body for the shift reaction of water with carbon monoxide and a modifying heating means, and a modifying catalyst temperature measuring part, the modifying catalyst contains a metal oxide and a noble metal, the gas from the reforming part is supplied to the modifying part, and the modifying catalyst body is heated to a temperature equal to or above the dew point of water vapor in the reforming part after gas. |
