PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a skin care composition or a makeup composition for matting, smoothing and/or uniformizing the texture of the skin and/or hiding defects in undulations of the skin. SOLUTION: This skin care composition or makeup composition is obtained by using fibers having a length within the range of especially 1μm to 10 mm and/or a shape factor within the range of 5-150 in the skin care composition or makeup composition. Furthermore, the composition uses an amount of the fibers sufficient to have a covering index exceeding 0.1 in the skin care composition or makeup composition.
