PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial nail base material with which an artificial nail of a high design property can be formed, an artificial nail forming set in which the artificial nail base material is housed, and a forming method of the artificial nail using the artificial nail base material, by which the artificial nail can be completed by a comparatively easy work, the producing period of time is short, and the cost can be reduced as well. SOLUTION: For this artificial nail base material 1, on one end in the longitudinal direction of the artificial nail base material 1 which is fixed to the natural nail 2 of a human being, an arc-shape recess 4 which is confronted with the nail rout 3 of the natural nail 2 is formed. Then, on the other end, a nail tip section 5 is formed, and a pair of side nail contours 7 which are symmetrical in the lateral direction and connect edge sections 6 and 6 on both ends of the nail tip section 5 and the arc-shape recess 4 are provided. In such an artificial nail base material 1, the radius of curvature of the arc-shape recess 4 is made smaller than the radius of curvature of a curved section 8 of the nail tip 2 of the natural nail 2, and the artificial nail base material 1 is formed of a flexible resin. In the artificial nail forming set 28, the artificial nail base material 1 is housed in a main body 29. In the forming method for the artificial nail, a mixture layer of a cyanoacrylate-based adhesive 13 and an acrylic powder 18 is formed in a manner to be astride of the artificial nail base material 1 and the natural nail 2. Thus, a molding wherein the natural nail 2 and the artificial nail base material 1 are integrated is performed.
