PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant ingredient-derived safe and highly active pharmaceutical composition. SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical composition comprises ingredients derived from the flowers of elm and the leaves of smac, respectively; wherein the elm belongs to Ulmus hollandica and is selected from Vegeta, Commelin and Groenveid, and the above two ingredients are in the form of dried powder or extract, respectively. There is also provided such a medicinal kit that (1) elm's the flowers of elm or an extract therefrom and (2) the leavers of smac or an extract therefrom are contained in either of plural compositions as the constituents thereof. The above pharmaceutical composition is effective for preventing or treating hypercholesterolemia, arteriosclerosis and dyshepatia. |
