PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an accident or the like from being generated, caused by abrupt acceleration of a vehicle resulting from the maximum engine speed when an acceleration pedal is depressed more strongly than usually. SOLUTION: In this acceleration pedal, an acceleration operation is released to make an engine speed returned to an idling speed when the acceleration pedal is depressed strongly compared with a usual operation. A braking operation is acceptable to be actuated when depressing the pedal more strongly. An usual acceleration operation is acceptable to be operated when a foot is released from the acceleration pedal and when he acceleration pedal is returned to an idling position.
