AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF BIODEGRADABLE POLYESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous dispersion of a biodegradable polyester having practically extremely advantageously high solid concentration and high viscosity. SOLUTION: This aqueous dispersion of the biodegradable polyester is characterized in that the aqueous dispersion is obtained by mixing and kneading the biodegradable polyester in a molten state with an aqueous solution of an emulsifying agent having <=63 mN/m surface tension of a 1.0 wt.% aqueous solution thereof at 20 deg.C and, as necessary, other additives and has >=40 wt.% solid concentration and >=1,000 mPa.s viscosity at 20 deg.C.
