PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an ink tank which can detect detailed information on the inside thereof in real time and bilaterally exchange information with an external ink jet recording apparatus. SOLUTION: Ball-shaped solid semiconductor elements 542 and 543 are arranged in a first chamber of this ink tank 541, and ball-shaped solid semiconductor elements 544 and 545 are arranged in a second chamber in which a negative pressure-generating member is stored. Each of the solid semiconductor elements 542, 543, 544 and 545 is provided with an energy conversion means for converting an electromotive force supplied in a noncontact manner to an electric power, an information take means for obtaining information on an environment in the periphery of the element, an information-transmitting means for transmitting information to the outside, and the like. The solid semiconductor elements 542 and 543 in the first chamber and the solid semiconductor elements 544 and 545 in the second chamber communicate with each other respectively with using an attenuation amount of electromagnetic waves, so that information related to inks in the first and the second chambers is managed. |
