PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the mechanism of a drive system such as a drive means for conveying a packaging material and thereby upgrade the processing capability of the film attaching device. SOLUTION: This film attaching device comprises a film piece supply medium which continuously conveys film pieces and supplies the pieces to a welding part Q, a heating means which heats a packaging material 15 and the film piece at the welding part Q and a gripper which continuously grips the packaging material 15 and the film piece together with the film piece supply medium. In this case, the film pieces are supplied to the welding part Q by continuously conveying the packaging material 15 and continuously actuating the film piece supply medium to the conveyance of the packaging material 15. Thus the mechanism of the drive system such as the drive means for conveying the packaging material 15 can be simplified so that the processing capability of the film attaching device is upgraded by virtue of the mechanism simplification. In addition, a space for forming a free loop is no longer necessary, so that a filling machine can be miniaturized. |
