PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording device capable of stabilizing the printing operation by preventing adhesion of bubbles generated in a cap onto the nozzle surface after cleaning, or the like. SOLUTION: This device comprises a recording head 22 having a pressuring chamber for receiving the supply of an ink, a pressure generating element for generating pressure in the pressuring chamber, and a nozzle opening 8 communicating with the pressuring chamber, for ejecting ink droplets, a cap 24 for sealing the nozzle surface 40 of the recording head 22 at a position away therefrom by a predetermined space, and a suction pump for providing a negative pressure to the space inside the cap 24, wherein a cover member 33 for covering the entire nozzle opening 8 in the state with the cap 24 seals the nozzle surface 40, is provided inside the cap 24, and thus adhesion of bubbles generated in the space inside the cap 24 on the nozzle surface 40 so as to enter into the nozzle opening 8 can be prevented so that generation of printing failure can be prevented. |
