PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent creases of stencil sheet fitted to a plate cylinder. SOLUTION: In regard to upper and lower guide plates 45 and 46 guiding carriage of the stencil sheet M to the plate cylinder 24 side, a swing member 47 of which the swing end 47b is directed to the plate cylinder 24 side at the fore end part 45a of the upper guide plate 45 directed to the plate cylinder 24 side and which is swingable vertically and urged downward, is provided. A support member 48 that holds and supports the stencil sheet M being carried, between the lower guide plate 46 and it, is provided on the lower side of the swing member 47. On the occasion of engaging and fixing the fore end of the stencil sheet M by a clamp plate 51, the swing member 47 is raised by opening of the clamp plate 51, the support member 48 being separated from the lower guide plate 46, and the sheet M is guided between the upper and lower guide plates 45 and 46. The sheet M is fitted to the outer peripheral surface of a plate cylinder 24 with the rotation of the cylinder 24. On the occasion, the stencil sheet M is held between the support member 48 and the lower guide plate 46 and given a tensile force. Since the support member 48 holds the stencil sheet M at the fore end part 46a of the lower guide plate 46, the tensile force given to the sheet M is maintained till the moment just before the paper is delivered to the plate cylinder 24, and thus no crease is caused in the stencil sheet M.
