An advertising system and method, and a computer readable recording medium are disclosed, in which a general skin image or an advertising image can be applied to a menu portion on a Windows-shell screen in a Windows-series OS. Advertising skin image according to a target marketing can be provided on a network based on a client/server system. The system includes user terminals which can be accessed to the Internet and a system server for allowing user to download a skin image controller when user accesses a home page in the server. The server includes a web server and a program server for providing advertisement skin image information during connection state to the system server and managing an advertisement exposure time for compensation. |
