A divider for shop or store-room shelves, which shelves are provided with a fixing strip (2) running along at least one longitudinal edge of the shelf. The divider (3) is provided at one end with at least one gripping part (5) constructed of plastic, which gripping part comprises two gripping claws (6, 7) designed for gripping the fixing strip. The part of the divider (3) adjoining the gripping part (5) is constructed with a slot (9) extending from the gripping part, so that, when a force is applied, a part (8) of the divider delimited by the slot can move towards the other part of the divider with resultant pivoting of one gripping claw (6) in a direction away from the other. By this means, the grip on the fixing strip can temporarily be released, for example in connection with a movement of the divider. |
