PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make angular contact of a cylindrical roller bearing. SOLUTION: A retainer is always brought into contact with an inner ring and an outer ring to fix the position and attitude and to stabilize the attitude of the roller. The amount of clearance between a pocket of the retainer and the roller in the rotating direction is made small on the raceway small-diameter side and large on the raceway large-diameter side, whereby when the rotating speed of the retainer is influenced by the frictional force with the inner ring and the frictional force with the outer ring to be deviated from an ideal value, the direction of the roller is operated so that the retainer is pressed in the axial direction to regulate the frictional force with the inner ring and the frictional force with the outer ring and the rotating speed of the retainer is converted on the ideal value. A relief groove is mounted between the roller contact surface of the inner ring or the outer ring and the contact surface of the retainer so that the relief groove side is functioned as an attitude guide. Thus, the direction of the roller can be operated with small force according to the principle of lever. |
