PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device and its density measuring method by which the density of a patch image actually utilized to measure density can be measured by another density measuring equipment by printing the patch image formed as an image for measuring the density on transfer material and outputting it after forming the patch image for measuring density characteristics and finishing a density measurement. SOLUTION: After the image of a patch Y is formed and primarily transferred to an intermediate transfer body and the density is measured, a density correction table is formed (13001). Similarly, the images of a patch M, a patch C and a patch K are formed primarily transferred, and then density correction tables are formed (13002, 13003 and 13004). The formed patch image is secondarily transferred and fixed on the transfer material and then the transfer material is ejected (13005). |
