METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING ADDRESS DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address data input method for simplifying input work for a large quantity of addresses. SOLUTION: The database of addresses is composed of a first data group 1 composed of first administrative units expressing the largest administrative divisions of Japan, a second data group 2 composed of second administrative units expressing area names belonging to the first administrative units and a third data group 3 composed of third administrative units expressing area names belonging to the second administrative units at least so that a specified small area can be selected out of a small data group expressing a small area name included in a selected large area after the specified large area name is selected out of the data group expressing large area names, and an address is retrieved/selected/determined while using one sound of the Japanese syllabary as a keyword for each of data in the first to third data groups 1 to 3.
