PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breakage detecting device for windmill vanes for detecting the breakage of the windmill vanes at an early stage and preventing the scattering of the broken vanes. SOLUTION: In a wind power generation device having a vane rotating mechanism, a nacell part 7 for storing a generator and a tower part 8 for supporting the nacell 7, a vibration sensor 10 is provided on each windmill vane 1 for detecting the vibration of the wind power generation device and a comparison operator 15 is provided for comparison judgement of taken-in output signals from the vibration sensor 10.
