PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system stabilizer and a system monitor, whereby the degree of stabilization of a power-swinging system where a plurality of modes are mixedly present. SOLUTION: Observed waveform is fetched from various points in a system into the system stabilizer 1 by an observation data-entering means 2. A power swing mode analyzing means 3 analyzes the observed waveforms, using Prony analysis method and calculates the frequency, the attenuation factor, the amplitude, and the like of power swing modes contained in the waveforms. A degree- of-stabilization judging means 4 judges the degree of stabilization, based on the results of the analyses. When the system is unstable, a stabilization signal creating means 5 creates a stabilization signal for power supply limitation or the like. A stabilization signal outputting means 6 outputs the stabilization signal to the generator and the like in the system. |
