<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable diagnosis and restoration by connecting device mounted with PLCs of different makers once as to a remote fault diagnostic system for an automatic control line composed of working machines. SOLUTION: A client computer for maintenance is installed in a manufacture line, structures an intranet with different kinds of PLCs mounted on the devices constituting the manufacture line, and is connected by the Internet to a host computer through a modem and a router connected to the client computer. The client computer periodically calls the respective PLCs and stores and transfers their state data to the host computer. Or when the host computer commands, the PLCs are called in order and their state data are transmitted to the host computer.</p> |
