PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature for electric motor that is effective for miniaturizing the electric motor and increasing output. SOLUTION: A commutator arrangement space is secured on the inner- diameter side of an end on the side of the commutator of an excitation coil by a nib 18 that is formed by bending the part between thin-plate teeth 12a on the side of a commutator 15 of a thin-plate lamination structure core 12.
