PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mass spectrometer convenient to handle, preventing entry of electromagnetic wave and rapid particles into an electron multiplier. SOLUTION: A lower metal plate 13 is formed of an outgoing port 13a for emitting electromagnetic wave and rapid particles entering from an ion incident port 11a. The outgoing port 13a of the lower metal plate 13 is larger than the ion incident port 11a formed in an upper metal plate 11, and the ion incident port 11a is formed to be included in a projected image in the direction of a center axis X1 of the outgoing port 13a formed in the lower metal plate 13. The upper metal plate 11 is provided in such a manner that a center axis X2 of a quadrupole electrode 410 coincides with the center axis X1 of an ion detector 1. Consequently, when mounting an ion detector body 10 to the mass spectrometer 100, the outside of the ion detector 1 can be seen through the outgoing port 13a of the lower metal plate 13 from the ion incident port 11a of the upper metal plate 11 of the ion detector 1 when looking toward the center axis X2 of the quadrupole electrode 410 from an ionized part 300.
