PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise preventing device for boiler which can be incorporated in a heat transfer tube block even after the block is manufactured. SOLUTION: In this noise preventing device for boiler incorporated in the heat transfer tube block in which a plurality of heat transfer tubes which are nearly horizontally oriented across a vertical gas flow are arranged zigzag to the gas flow, a plurality of noise preventing plates are inserted into the spaces among transfer tube rows arranged in oblique two directions to the direction of the gas flow so that the plates may be oriented alternately in the two directions and arranged continuously from the upstream end to the downstream end of the heat transfer tube block while the plates are supported in a state where the upper and lower edges of the plates are brought into contact with each other. Therefore, this noise preventing device can exhibit a noise preventing effect and can be incorporated easily in the assembled heat transfer tube block.
