PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevating door structure which is compact in structure of an opening of an apparatus main body, and can be easily and safely opened/ closed by manual operation in vertical directions. SOLUTION: The elevating door structure is operated such that the door 25 is pulled down with respect to the opening 12 of the apparatus main body 11 when opened, and that it is raised with respect to the opening 12 when closed. According to the elevating door structure, jambs 13 arranged on both right and left sides of the opening 12 and having a common head 15 erected between upper portions thereof, have slide rails 14 for individually guiding guide portions 28 arranged on respective stiles 26 of the door 25. Further, constant force spring bodies 17 are individually arranged at right and left ends of the head 15. The door 25 guided by the guide portions 28 along the slide rails 14 to be disposed at a suitable location, is hung such that open ends of spiral springs forming the respective constant force spring bodies 17 are individually fixed to respectively corresponding right and left locations of a top rail 27, and that a static state is maintained insofar as an external force is not applied thereto.
