PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and a method therefor, and a display device using the same, which are able to evade occurrence of field tearing (memory passing) even when an input/output image is read/written from/in single image memory. SOLUTION: On the basis of writing speed to image memory 123, reading speed from the image memory 123, and a reading area, this image processor is provided with a system microcomputer 13 for generating and supplying an output delaying data D13b for delaying an image output timing so that an access time to an end read address (or an access time to a read start address) coincides with a write time to the same address, and a scan converter 12 for receiving the output delaying data supplied from the system microcomputer and delaying the image output timing so that the access time to the end read address coincides with the write time to the same address.
