PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device miniaturized by decreasing the number of components that is provided with a camera enclosure which does not limit the photographing range of the lens. SOLUTION: A front glass plate is eliminated from the camera enclosure 1, a front lens 3 also acts as the front glass, and front end faces 1a, 1b of the camera enclosure 1 are configured so as not to limit the photographing range of the front lens 3. Thus, the imaging range 11 is extended up to the photographing range of the front lens 3 itself and can maximize the imaging performance of the front lens 3. Furthermore, the positions of the front lens 3 and a rear lens 4 are fixed by the structure of the camera enclosure 1, so as to make the camera enclosure 1 compact, even if the size a camera base 2 is kept the same as that of a conventional imaging device.
