PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a subrack mountable in a 19-inch rack with or without mounting a subrack cover on the subrack, thereby improving the installablity. SOLUTION: The width of a subrack 1 is set smaller than the spacing between fixing parts 34 of a 19-inch rack 31, and the subrack 1 is fixed to the 19-inch rack 31 through fixtures 11 and setscrews 4 with or without mounting the subrack cover 9 covering the subrack 1. The fixtures 11 are mounted on the bottom side 14 of a subrack cover 9 to fix the subrack 1 covered with the subrack cover 9 to the rack 31 through the setscrews 4 in the form that the subrack 1 lies. The subrack 1 can be housed in the rack 31 free from entrance of dust only by covering in a sheet, and it can reduce the dead space in the rack 31.
