PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade a defective closed session operation due to vibrations, impacts, etc., and to eliminate the unnatural feeling of a user performing the close session operation. SOLUTION: A write once recording medium 25 writes and reads data on the basis of a file system based on UDF and has a disk shape. A 1st session is previously closed in the medium 25 to record irreducibly necessary data or to record the static images such as sample images and the moving images serving as advertisement in a state that they undergo each prescribed compression processing.
